Oil and Gas
AquaSol has been supplying the O&G industry for over 30 years. We offer a wide range of products that are proven to decrease fluid loss, improve rheology and increase gel strength. Contact us today to find out how we can customize a product to meet your drilling needs.
AquaSol’s Oil and Gas products provide bio-based, innovative solutions for fluid loss control in both water base and oil base fluids. The products aid in providing shale inhibition when drilling reactive shales as well as supporting low end rheology for hole cleaning. The water-based products provide fluid loss in freshwater as well as Sodium Chloride, Calcium Chloride and Calcium Bromide salt systems.
The oil base mud products are new to AquaSol and provide fluid loss in non-aqueous fluids with Diesel, Distillate 822 and mineral oil bases. The addition of AquaSol’s oil base mud products help to improve the electrical stability, minimizing any rheology or stability issues.
AquaSol also carries products that help to improve rheology as well as provide down hole clay inhibition . AquaSol’s AquaVisc OG helps minimize or eliminate the use of Xanthan Gum in drilling mud formulations. ClayBloc helps to prevent the clays from swelling and eliminates the clay from up taking water, keeping the clay as a solid.
All products are biologically stable and has passed or exceeds the biostability of PAC’s or CMC’s. AquaSol’s products carry an indefinite shelf life when stored in dry form. Aquasol’s products are field proven to provide significant benefits to drilling operations over competitive products:
- Increased productivity
- Improved drilling performance
- Lower cost
Products
AquaBloc FL
AquaBloc FL is a highly modified, economical, starch based fluid loss control additive for water based drilling fluids. It function well in both freshwater as well as brines, including saturated brines, and temperatures up to 275-300F. It can be used pound for pound in place of technical grade PAC/CMC’s.
AquaPak
AquaPak is a starch based fluid loss control additive that completely replaces LV PAC in water based drilling fluids at a more economical price point than PAC.
AquaBloc
AquaBloc is Carboxymethyl Starch or Poly Anionic Starch. It is manufactured as a fluid loss control agent for water based drilling fluids. Due to the unique manufacturing process used to make this product, it has very low viscosity and could be described as an ultra low (UL) additive.
AquaBloc HT Series
AquaBloc HT series products are fluid loss control additives for water based drilling fluids. Compared with AquaBloc, the HT series is more tolerant to heat, shear and pH
AquaBloc HT
AquaBloc HT is a fluid loss control additive for water based drilling fluids. Compared with AquaBloc, HT is more tolerant to heat, shear and pH. It is also performs well in brines used in clean fluid mud systems.
AquaBloc AW
AquaBloc AW is a solution of a Poly Anionic Polysaccharide in water. It is manufactured as a fluid loss control agent for water based drilling fluids. It has very low viscosity and could be described as an ultra low (UL) additive.
AquaVisc OG
AquaVisc OG is a new rheology modifier for water based drilling fluids. An alternative to xanthan, AquaVisc OG builds low end rheology and works synergistically with AquaSol fluid loss control agents to also deliver fluid loss.
AquaDril
AquaDril is Carboxymethyl Starch or Poly Anionic Starch. It is manufactured as a fluid loss control agent for water based drilling fluids. Due to the polymers employed in the product it has been certified to pass the Microtox test .
ClayBloc Plus
ClayBloc Plus is an NSF certified cationic liquid clay inhibitor used to reduce bit balling, clay accumulation and sticking problems experienced when drilling in reactive clay soils. ClayBloc Plus can be used in clay or clay free systems.
Organosol Series
In recent years, non-aqueous fluid systems (NAF’s) have become the fluid of choice for today’s horizontal drilling applications. To complement it’s water-based fluid additive portfolio, AquaSol invented the OrganoSol line of products, a naturally based polymer for HTHP fluid loss applications in NAF’s.
